We are raising money to help feed some of the precious puppers who are making it through the winter at the Friends of Sarajevo Strays shelter in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

The NEED: Winter is HERE, and that means life just got a whole lot harder for stray dogs in Sarajevo. Thankfully, a wonderful shelter, Friends of Sarajevo Strays, has an amazing team of workers and volunteers that do everything they can to care for stray doggos waiting on their forever home. Their biggest need? FOOD for their fur babies, which is something they need year-round, but with winter setting in, sometimes the doggos need even more to just function and stay warm.
Our Organization: So to help make sure the pups have all the food they need - and the volunteers have the peace of mind to make it through the winter - we at the Divan organization are raising money to buy big 20-kilogram bags of good quality dog food, priced at around $40 per bag. Divan is also a Sarajevo-based organization that seeks to build community and promote mental and physical wellness within Sarajevo. We want to help this incredible shelter because they work so hard to care for these dogs, regardless of how much support or aid they receive.
The GOAL: Our goal is to purchase at least 15 big bags of dog food, which can help the shelter offset food costs, especially in December and January. And here's the BEST PART: Divan will MATCH the number of bags of dog food donated!!! Meaning - for every 1 bag of dog food that gets donated, Divan will match that with another bag, effectively doubling your donation - up to 25 bags purchased!
