FEMA IS going to take my home

FEMA IS going to take my home

From Cooper Watson

I am fund raising because I do not have the $1710 payment for the FEMA mandated flood insurance premium that was due 9/9/2023. It is a yearly premium that you have to pay in full,no monthly payments

The due date on Fema`s mandated flood insurance was 6 days ago .The cost is $1710.00 I do not have that much money.I am 73 years old ,disabled ,with a heart condition and diabetes 2.The VA where I get my healthcare has recommended my feet be amputated. So a job is out of the question.I live on $970 per month from Social Security which barely coves my utilities. FEMA is threatening to sell my house to recoup a grant they gave my mother after the 2016 flood here in Denham Springs,La.They sell your home if you cannot pay the mandated flood insurance

More Info

If you do not pay the premium FEMA will confiscate your home and sell it to pay the grant FEMA gave my mother to repair her house. She died in 2018 and I inherited the house along with the mandated flood insurance.I am 73 years old ,disabled with a heart condition ,a stent was installed.I also have diabetes 2 .I get my healthcare from the VA and they have recommended I get both feet amputated. I live on $970 per month from Social Security which barely coves my utilities.I certainly cannot afford 2 months of my income on flood insurance.I have covered the premium since 2016 until now. I am afraid FEMA is going to take my house and put me and my 2 dogs out into the street Thank you for any small donation and your time you took to read about my plight
