The fundraiser is aimed at raising funds to treat my chronic illness being Sarcoidosis. After a long illness my body has suffered a lot of side effects and other underlying conditions. As a result my eyes lost partial eyesight and this has led to my eyes needing surgery. The challenge has been raising enough money to have the surgery. As well as the ongoing treatment and chronic medication needed......... Let me tell you a bit more about my disease : The growth of tiny collections of inflammatory cells in different parts of the body. People may experience:
Pain areas: in the eyes
Whole body: fatigue, malaise, or night sweats
Eyes: dryness, itchiness, or redness
Respiratory: shortness of breath or wheezing
Skin: rashes or red and tender lumps
Visual: blurred vision or sensitivity to light
Also common: coughing, swollen lymph nodes, or weight loss
Treatment consists of steroids
Sarcoidosis often goes away on its own. Minimal treatment is required in most cases. For some, it may last for years and lead to organ damage.
