About Me
I have been involved with Youth Resources since 2008 when I attended my first Middle School TEENPOWER, and ever since I have been hooked! I participated in TEENPOWER as a Youth Staffer and in TAC all through high school. I continued to serve my community through volunteering with YR through college. I am now the current TEENPOWER Program Coordinator at YR and my love for service, volunteering and being involved in my community continues to grow through YR. I am excited to be fundraising to support YR and its awesome programs on YR Day. I have been forever changed and impacted by the love, support, friendship and opportunities that YR has given to me and I am fundraising on YR Day to be sure that YR is able to continue to impact kids in our community for many years to come! YR Day is a 24-hour online party and fundraising event for YR and the people who make YR possible (that’s you). Whether you’re a student, alumni, parent, volunteer or just a fan with a special place in your heart for YR - this celebration is for you!
YR’s mission is to inspire and develop our community of youth to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and civic engagement. Since 1987 we’ve worked with over 149,850 students and funded more than 3,310 service projects in 6 counties. Our alumni give, serve, and lead in education, healthcare, business, law, nonprofits, tech and more, using the skills they learned through YR’s programs.
Last year our students served over 8,000 hours with more than 100 local organizations, and they planned 63 service projects with their peers. They opened their hearts to the needs in our community and put their hands to work making a difference.
