We're raising money to help Cody with his medical bills due to the discovery of his testicular cancer and being in-between insurances while in his 90-day wait period for work.

Heres an update on Cody:
This past Monday, he had surgery to put a port in his chest for chemo therapy.
Today, he had his doctors appointment to figure out his chemo schedule and everything. Cody will be starting chemotherapy on November 6th and will have to have 3 rounds of chemo. One round of chemo includes 3 weeks: the first week is 5 days of chemo for 5 hours each, the second and third weeks he gets a chemo shot and labs done on Tuesdays. This puts him receiving chemo through January 2nd.
With this being said, Cody will be out of work for quite some time. He has applied for short-term disability, but he is still stacking up on medical bills.

Back on July 28th, Cody had severe abdominal and back pain. When he got off work, we rushed to the hospital just for them to say it was an “infection” and sent him home with antibiotics. A couple weeks later on Friday. August 18th, he followed up with a urologist since he was still having issues and they ordered an emergency CT scan of his chest and abdomen and ultrasound of his groin area. The following Monday, August 21st he followed up with the doctor for them to review the results and ultimately inform him that they are very concerned for Testicular cancer and he was to have an emergency surgery (orchiectomy) that Thursday (24th). After the surgery, they sent it to be biopsied which ultimately came back positive for testicular cancer. His CT scan showed that everything else was normal, except one lymph node being slightly above normal size.
Since the surgery, his tumor levels have decreased, but plateaued, most likely due to the cancer spreading to his lymph nodes. The oncologist has ordered for Cody to have a port put in an undergo 3 rounds of Chemotherapy (about 9 weeks total) starting within a month. This will mostly have Cody out of work for a while due to the side effects of chemo.
With all of this happening, Cody did not have insurance until September 1st as that was the end of his 90 day wait period for his new job. With everything that needed to be handled immediately to ensure we stop the cancer as soon as possible, he has obtained quite a big medical bill from his various procedures. We would greatly appreciate any help and donations for those who are able to contribute.
As some know, we have recently moved into a new apartment in Arlington, Va for my schooling, so financially we have been struggling with the increased cost of living up here as well as his unexpected medical bills. We are thankful for anything and everything, even if it’s just a prayer. We are just happy the doctors were proactive and we caught this early.
