Support IDF Soldiers & חשל 210

The ongoing conflict in Israel has brought many reservists to active duty to fight in the IDF. In these troubling times, it is hard to not feel helpless in America as our friends and family are serving for Jewish freedom. Many of these soldiers in the IDF currently lack essential equipment and proper living arrangements as more reservists have been called to active duty than ever before. 

My friend Zev Goldberg is one of these soldiers. Zev is from Hollywood, FL and went to high school with me in Boca Raton. After graduating, Zev enlisted in the IDF voluntarily and served as a paratrooper. He has since been studying Business at Reichman University until he was recently called back as part of the ongoing war. Zev has been assigned to a combat soldier unit of 50 people, called חשל 210 and is currently based in northern Israel. After originally speaking with Zev as well as his units’ supply and equipment manager, they stressed that more than anything they need funding for proper housing. Considering the IDF has called up hundreds of thousands of reservists, there are not enough bases around Israel to house every unit. Zev’s unit in particular were living in a pre-school and were moved to a base where they must live in tents with minimal access to bathrooms and showers. 

As of November 24th, our fundraising efforts have shifted from funding proper housing for the unit as unfortunately, they are ordered to stay at their current location in tents. Therefore, all money raised is going to items that will improve their current living conditions as well as essential military equipment. It is starting to get very cold at night in Israel and our donations will make them as comfortable and prepared as possible. 

The Goal: The goal for this fundraiser is to raise $50,000. Each and every donation will directly support Zev and his unit. And after discussing with Zev, any unused funding from his unit will be sent directly to neighboring units who too are in need of support while fighting for Israel. This fundraiser has been set up as a way to ensure your donations are going to directly help this unit get through this difficult time. No donation is too small. 

We have arranged for the money raised to automatically be sent directly to חשל 210. Zev’s commander is connected with a foundation in Israel and has made sure the funds we donate can be used at the commanders discretion. This allows for a seamless and direct way for your donations to go straight to חשל 210.
