Elena's life will never be forgotten, and her memory lives on through her two children, 3 year old Kristina and 15 year old Vlad. Her departure affects all of us who knew her and loved her, but none more so than her kids. It takes a village to raise a child, and in Lena's absence we hope that all of us, friends and family, can come together to provide comfort and support to them to prevail through this difficult time.
A shining spark, who shone brightest when she was surrounded by the ones she loved most, Lena is missed by all her family and friends; her sharp wit and no-nonsense view on life kept us straight when we wavered, and brought us laughter when we celebrated. Even in her illness, Lena never allowed herself, or us, to doubt her strength or give up hope.
Elena's family thanks all those who took their time to honor her memory with their thoughts and sympathy. Every second is precious, and we are grateful for the time you have given us in this moment.
