The Middlebury Center Little Free Library is raising money to fund an outdoor cabinet and deck box. These will be used to protect and store donations as they are received.

Having an accessible Little Free Library in Middlebury Center can be such an asset for children and adults alike. Our community is about 20 minutes from the nearest public library and often times after school and work, accessing the public library is difficult. We feel that being able to offer a Little Free Library in our community could help put books into so many readers hands. We have already had so many great donations, however in the case of weather, we currently don't have a good place for donations to be left. We would like to purchase an outdoor deck box in order for individuals to leave donations as they are able. This would protect the donations until they are able to be collected and organized. We would also like to purchase and outdoor cabinet to be used for book trading during the winter before the Little Free Library is placed and in future winters when the Library may be difficult to access.
