Kids today face a problem that my generation never had to worry about. Losing the chance to learn and make music in school is becoming a rarity. With funding cuts and tight budgets our educational system is cutting programs and music seems to be on the chopping block.

I grew up in a generation where music was the mainstream. We listened on our car stereos' tiny transistors and at the neighborhood wreck center. Music saved my life many times and tells my story.

I bought my first Guitar at 16. I made payments for a tear and finally had a 12-string Acoustic. I loved that guitar but unfortunately lost it in a house fire.

That didn't stop me from my pursuit of playing music. Since then I have owned at least 40 guitars. a drum set banjo mandolin piano trumpet and bongos. Yes my passion is stringed instruments

That's why today I buy and repair guitars and donate to our local school music programs.

I am asking for the funds so I can continue to buy used and unwanted instruments, Repair and refurbish, and give to not just our school music programs but any individual who desires to learn how to play and make music.
